Baby Bennett's newborn session was done as an in-home session a little over two weeks after he was born. I spent about an hour or so with this family of five before breakfast and I am so happy to have worked with them all together for such a big life-change. We let the older two siblings take the lead and we did family portraits first in the parents' bedroom. Once Blakely and Hudson got tired of me and my camera and were ready for some breakfast with their grandmother, we moved on to some photos of mom, dad and baby in nursery. And we ended with some solo shots of just Bennett in all his cute, perfect little features.

Newborn sessions typically take about an hour to an hour and a half because I give up all control on how things unfold. In this case, the siblings and new baby took the lead. If anyone needed tending too, comforting, changing, absolutely anything at all, Mom and Dad did not hesitate to keep their babies happy. And that is my goal every single time. I don't want this to be a stressed out time for anyone, we will get THE photos, I promise. I don't want you to feel rushed or like we are in a tight schedule , that is why the session times are so varied.
