What You Should Know

What is your Photography style?

My aim is to maintain a humble, sincere, down-to-earth, minimal and fresh style throughout my shooting and edits. You get the feeling that you were there in that moment, the photographs are tangible memories of a day in your life. I am intentional and genuine with the posing or prompting throughout the day, I do not want you to look or feel forced or out of the realm that you are comfortable in to get a certain shot. Most importantly, look through my wedding and portrait galleries. If you like what you see there, then please trust me as your photographer!

how far out should I book?

For sessions, I suggest booking 1-3 months out from the time you want to have your session. If you want a weekend session or you are booking around a major milestone or event (birthdays, maternity, newborn, engagement), I would reach out as soon as you know you are interested. My calendar is pretty set in stone with my home life so I know my availability well in advance.

For weddings, there is no special window of time to plan your wedding here. You can reach out about a wedding next month or next year or two years from now, I am booking! The more popular months of May-November seem to book up the fastest so I would hesitate there!

what is due at booking

For sessions, half the session total is due to reserve your date, time and pricing along with a signed service agreement that explains what we both should expect from working together.

For weddings, 30% of the wedding package total is due at booking along with the signed service agreement.

Should we get professionally styled?

For sessions, it is not a must from me to get hair and makeup done or to be styled by boutique to have a portrait session. We could honestly shoot in your sweats and I promise you, we would get great images of you guys. My goal is for you guys to be wearing things that make you feel your best and your most comfortable. We move around a lot during our together, a lot of walking, sitting, standing, leaning, and movement in general. I can always offer color preferences based off the location, and refer you to stylists and artists if you wish to get a new look for your photos.

How many photos are in the gallery?

For sessions, besides a mini session where you receive up to 10 images with your digital release, you can expect anywhere from 70-150 images in your gallery from a session.

As for weddings, I aim to give you about one hundred images per hour of wedding day coverage. There are so many big and little moments throughout your wedding day, your gallery is always BIG!

What is the turn around time for gallery delivery?

Session galleries are delivered within 10 days of your session date contractually but I usually get them out within 5 days.

Wedding galleries are delivered in full within 6 weeks of your wedding day contractually, you usually get a sneak peak in the first week and the rest isn't usually too far behind.

What if my child cries throughout our entire session?

So, first and foremost, I am a mom of three boys. Three boys that do not always have the same enthusiasm as I do for things that mean something to me. So I totally get it if your kid is having an off day and doesn't want to be there. We will try our hardest and if we have to pick another day to try again, I am always up to working that out with you!

What if the weather is bad?

Maryland weather is always giving us a run for our money. If the weather turns on us, we reschedule to the next day that we are both available.

If the weather is poor during your wedding day, they say it is good luck, and I am always prepared to roll with it!

Where do you shoot your sessions?

If you are local to the Kent Island/Eastern Shore of MD area, I have a ton of spots that I can suggest. My first preference is always your home or somewhere that has sentimental value to you. I have also waived all of my travel fees for 2021 sessions and would love to shoot in some new places so don't be afraid to suggest something different!

Do You offer discounts?

I offer a "Helper's Discount" for first responders (fire fighters, police officers, dispatch, and EMS), military (active and veteran), nurses, and teachers for both sessions and weddings. You just have to mention it!

As of 2021, I also offer off-season pricing for sessions and weddings booked in December, January, February, and March.
