a sweet elopement

Shara and Jerry had reached out to me around the start of the new year, maybe a little before, about being their wedding photographer for this coming July. We were planning ideas for the engagement session when the coronavirus pandemic hit the country. They have big big plans and they did not want to wait, they wanted to start their next chapter as husband and wife. So an intimate elopement was planned! In front of both sets of their parents and officiated by the bride's mom's lifetime best friend - they said their vows and made the commitment to choose each other each and every day from that day forward. And I was happy to be there to document their beautiful ceremony in the bride's parents' backyard on the South River.

The details

One of the bride's best friends, Kristin, made her wedding gown. Not only did she create this gorgeous gown, but it was made from Shara's mother's wedding gowns. And it was nothing short of amazing! The gorgeous florals were created by Whole Foods in Annapolis and were exactly what the bride had in mind!
